Technology For Your Use On Campus

There are multitudes of ways to make connections at Tiffin University, and one of these ways is through technology. Below is an overview of the resources available to TU students, under the helpful watch of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Office.

University Computer Labs

Tiffin University and the ITS Office currently have several computer labs on campus which are available for general student usage. All of the campus computer labs have Dell workstations and are equipped with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and much more software to assist students in completing school work. Students can complete their assignments, surf the Internet, utilize the laser printers, or use some of the other specialized software located in each of these labs.

Technology Enhanced Classrooms

In addition to Tiffin University’s general use computer labs there are also Technology Enhanced Classrooms. The TECs (Technology Enhanced Classrooms), each have Dell workstations for classroom use. These classrooms are used for instruction of a wide variety of classes from introductory computer courses to Accounting and Criminal Justice courses.

Internet Access

TU has wired network connections in many widely used areas of the campus community thus allowing students to take their laptop and plug directly into the Internet. Wireless Internet Access is available in every campus dorm and is also widely available across campus.

Intranet (MyTU portal)

The Tiffin University MyTU portal is a secure web environment for students, faculty, and staff members that provides a single access point to information regarding academics, registration, current news, campus events, online forms, and access to online classes.
