Alumni & Friends Information

Dear Tiffin University Alumni and Friends,

As a valued member of our Tiffin University family, it is important that I communicate the measures we are taking to protect our students, alumni, faculty, staff, community, and friends from the coronavirus pandemic. Our relationships with you are meaningful and significant. We love spending time with you, both on and off-campus, celebrating your success, sharing the story of the great work being done at TU and thanking you for supporting that great work. As soon as we can get back to connecting with you in the usual ways, we will.

Tiffin University has been in close contact with Governor DeWine’s Office regarding the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), in order to ensure that we have the most current information about the evolving situation. Even though there are no campus-associated cases of COVID-19, we are being proactive in our effort to prevent illness and promote a healthy campus environment.

At this time, our students are taking classes online for the coming month, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has canceled all spring athletic competitions and championships and we have canceled all large gatherings and performances, including alumni events. Effective immediately and until further notice, TU does not encourage and will not approve international travel and we have limited all travel that is non-essential, as well.

Please be assured that Tiffin University will continue to implement additional measures as directed by the U.S. Government, the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) and the Ohio Department of Health to prevent the disease from spreading. We will continue to encourage students and employees to take care of their health, by following preventive guidelines set forth in the plan which can be found at cjpk.net/coronavirus, our website for information, resources and updates for the campus community.

All decisions related to the safety and welfare of our community may change at any time and to that end, I personally give each of you my word that I will continue to communicate openly each step of the way until all of this is behind us. In the meantime, please feel free to stay connected to what we are doing by way of our website at cjpk.net/coronavirus or on social media @tiffinu.

Sincerely,
Dr. Lillian Schumacher
President
