The School of Education and Extended Learning (SEEL) at Tiffin University is dedicated to
preparing highly qualified and diverse professionals who are ready to tackle the challenges of
an ever-changing world. With a focus on relevance, authenticity and innovation, the School
offers students a rich and engaging learning experience that helps develop the skills and
knowledge needed to succeed in their careers.

Our diverse degree offerings include:

  • Undergraduate licensure programs in high school and middle childhood teacher education.
  • A non-licensure program in educational studies that prepares students for various positions within the K-12 setting, and provides a potential 3+2 pathway to a master’s in
  • K-12 special education (with licensure) through a partnership with Lourdes University.
  • The workplace leadership degree completion program, a transfer-friendly program designed to build 21st-century skills for leadership.
  • Dual enrollment pathways that streamline entry into our master’s degree programs.
  • Master’s level degrees in higher education administration and instructional design.
  • Master’s level certificates in becoming a practitioner and a leader in the field of instructional design.

SEEL is unique in that it is both an academic entity and a support unit within the University. A
part of SEEL, the integrated Center for Online and Extended Learning (COEL) manages the
design and delivery of ALL online programs offered by Tiffin University. The COEL team also
administers several university-wide initiatives that serve both off-campus and on-campus
students, including the DragonACCESS textbook program, Credit for Prior Learning and a
variety of Classroom of the Future technology projects.

The faculty of SEEL are all working practitioners in the fields of higher education administration
and instructional design. They are committed to providing dynamic and engaging learning
experiences that not only prepare students for the challenges of the future, but empower them
to make a difference in the world beyond the classroom.
