Program Highlights
The BBA in Business Management is a general business degree that allows you to learn every facet of a business. The only constant in business is change, and the comprehensive knowledge and skills you will acquire at TU will translate across a multitude of roles and/or industries, giving you the flexibility and agility to effectively adapt to an ever-evolving business environment.
Professional Management Training
- The TU School of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- Learn from accomplished faculty who bring real-world knowledge and expertise to the classroom.
- Develop as a total manager with a curriculum covering supply chain, human resources, marketing, international business and manufacturing management.

BBA to MBA Program

Balancing cutting-edge theory with hands-on practice, the BBA in Business Management will prepare you for the world of work. In each course, you’ll learn from experienced faculty who speak from experience, having served in key managerial roles in businesses from Fortune 500 organizations to small, family-owned companies. As part of a professionally focused curriculum, you will gain relevant field knowledge and career-ready skills. You will engage in case-based study inside the classroom as well as real-world projects and required internships outside the classroom. You will be ready for the real world, because for four years you will have been immersed in the real world.

Active, Experiential Learning
Students learn best by doing. It’s why every business management major at TU is required to complete at least 150 hours of experiential learning. Hands-on experiences accelerate learning by encouraging critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making. Experiential learning fills the gap between theory and practice and gives you an opportunity to apply firsthand what you’ve learned in the classroom.
Bringing Knowledge to Practice
- Case studies – you’ll step into the role of the key decision maker, analyze the situation, and decide what you’d do to address the challenges.
- Collaborative assignments and projects – you’ll develop important teamwork skills as you learn to work effectively within a group.
- Pair or group discussions – you’ll become adept at presenting and debating different points of view.
- Visiting professionals – you’ll learn from and interact with business leaders, senior executives, entrepreneurs and TU alumni.
- Capstone courses and projects – you’ll demonstrate learning and knowledge, hone skills and enhance your resume.
- MGT 495 capstone course – you’ll sharpen your professional knowledge and skills throughout the course’s simulation game.
- Research – you’ll gain a better understanding of concepts and theories, while enhancing your problem-solving skills.
- Internships – you’ll gain experience, learn how a professional workplace operates, build your resume, expand your network and increase your marketability.
- Service learning – you’ll develop practical skills through activities with community partners such as non-governmental organizations or government agencies.

SAMPLE COURSES
Managerial Accounting (ACC228) – This course is designed to provide information to the management student who will be charged with directing and controlling operations from within the organization. Emphasis is placed on corporation reports, statements, schedules and summaries prepared for the use of management.
Information Systems for Managers (CIS312) – Introduces the foundations of information systems and their expanding role in the business environment. The technology of information systems will be discussed as it relates to supporting the day-to-day operations of an organization, with a strong emphasis on the use of it in managerial decision-making. This is a writing intensive course.
Organizational Behavior (MGT301) – A study of the interface between the individual, the formal and the informal groups in organizational settings. Focus will be on individual growth, developing interpersonal skills and understanding group dynamics.
FORMAT
On Campus – Offered in a 15-week semester format with a start date of January and August
Online – Offered in two terms per semester starting in January, March, May, July, August and October
Extended Learning – The managerial studies concentration is offered in two terms per semester with start dates of January and August
